DF65 Global Championships 2024 - Aussie team announced
Details

Jan 2, 2024

The ADFRSA Committee announced the team for the DF65 Global Championship at Nynashamn in Sweden this coming May, 2024. The skippers were selected based on their accumulated National rankings and availability.

This is the largest DF Class team selected to represent Australia and it is the 3rd time for Chris Dance and Phil Burgess and second time for Paul Martin, Bruce Robbins and Andrew Donkin.

The DF65 class is a one design boat that is affordable for racing and is available as a competitive kit right out of the box. Learning to set the sails and how to race well are skills skippers embrace. The chance to visit internationally to represent your country is a great honor and the team will be racing the best skippers from over 20 countries in waters Vikings called home. Sweden has always been a strong sailing country and this event location is steeped in history.

We wish the team every success and hope they enjoy the racing.
